New E-Cigarette Store Opens On Vine Street

Friday, September 13, 2013

Vapor Tonics, Chattanooga’s newest e-cigarette store, has opened at 426 Vine St.

The store offers Joyetech e-cigarettes and 30 flavors of e-juices, which will soon be expanded to 50 flavors and are made locally in North Georgia by one of the largest e-juice distributors.

All UTC students, state employees and Unum employees get an additional 10 percent off all purchases.

The store is also working on a grant program to fund e-cigarette research at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Ben Connally, manager of Vapor Tonics, said, “Vapors aren’t just for people who want an alternative to smoking, but for anyone who enjoys the flavors, and doesn’t want some of the bad effects such as smell or massive amounts of carcinogens.  All of our flavors are offered with and without nicotine and we sell plenty without nicotine.”

He said, "You can get set up with a device for as low as $35, which includes a battery, battery charger, cartridge and juice. From then on it’s a savings highway. Even the heaviest of smokers will only spend around $7 per week on juices. These e-cigarettes are the future of smoking and as backwards as it sounds- the future of healthy smoking."

The store is open seven days a week, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
