Santa's Workshop To Distribute Gifts To Angel Tree Families Dec. 18-20

Wednesday, December 13, 2017

The Salvation Army Angel Tree Distribution has arrived and in Chattanooga will take place at 5000 Calhoun St. on Monday and Tuesday, beginning each day at 9 a.m.  In Cleveland, the distribution will take place at 1701 South Lee Hwy. on Wednesday beginning at 9 a.m.

Over to 4,800 children and seniors who were placed on Angel Tags and adopted through the Angel Tree program will receive neighbors’ gifts on these days.

“Our community continues to show an outpouring of support and generosity,” said Major Robert Lyle, Salvation Army area commander.  “My first experience with The Salvation Army was as a child at Christmas with the gift of a basketball.  I know these children and seniors will experience the same joy as I did, knowing someone cares for them. Thank you to all who adopted these angels, together we are doing the most good.”

Food boxes will also be given to each family to ensure low income children who rely on the free lunch programs will have food while school is out.

Salvation Army still needs volunteers and monetary donations this Christmas Season. Donations can be made at www.csarmy.org, by calling 756-1023, or texting the word “donation” to 91999.

Individuals or groups can sign up for volunteer opportunities by visiting www.csarmy.org.
