Way To Go Signal Mountain Class Of 2018

Thursday, December 14, 2017

Roy Exum says “One speaker, citing the fact 25 percent of this year’s senior class at the high school scored 30 and above on the ACT test, asked 'Why fix something that’s not broken?' Why, indeed! The answer, quite bluntly, is that three out of every four members of this year’s senior class tested below 30 for a class average of 24.1. Don’t you see? ‘Fail again. Fail better.’"

Perhaps he did not see the average ACT scores by graduating class for 2018 which shows the national average as 21.  In fact, the 2018 senior class at Signal Mountain had a higher average ACT score than the averages for every state in the United States but six.

Roy calls that a failure?  I call that a huge success.  Way to go 2018 class of Signal Mountain High School!
