The House, a new “where to eat” app for iOS & Android just launched this month in Chattanooga, where it is also founded.
Co-founders, Matt Patterson and Matt Harb, are striving to build a marketplace that brings restaurants and restaurant patrons together that is mutually beneficial to both parties.
The mission of the company is to help restaurants & bars fill their open availability and the app does two things for the restaurant. It showcases the restaurant’s normal specials and happy hours and then it also allows the restaurant operator to create a ‘live offer’ in which they can create a special in real time, decide what food or drink they’re offering and decide how many tables and what times it is eligible for giving the restaurant a real-time option to try and bring patrons in the door, all at their own controls.
Mr. Harb, said, “Our partner restaurants love the control they have over the product and being able to push creative offers on their own terms.”
As for restaurant patrons, they get to always see ‘what’s going on today’ whether it’s an aggregated list of today’s specials and happy hours around town or whether it’s an exclusive, live offer that only applies to patrons who have downloaded The House.
The House is currently partnered with about 25 locally owned restaurants in the downtown area and adding on more each week. Mr. Patterson said, “We want to build a product that Chattanoogans and restaurant operators really love and once we feel good about that, we’ll be expanding to other markets in an effort to build a national brand.”
The app can most likely be found in the app store by searching ‘Eat on The House’ or ‘The House Chattanooga’ or you can visit the website at EatOnTheHouse.com to be texted a direct link to The House in the app store.
