Erlanger's Chattanooga Heroes Run/Walk Raises $22,000 For The Fallen Five Memorial Fund

Representatives from the Chattanooga Heroes Run/Walk, presented by Erlanger’s Level One Trauma Center, on Tuesday presented a check from this year’s event to the Community Fund of Greater Chattanooga.

The ceremony was held at Erlanger Baroness Hospital.

 

Erlanger committee members as well as representatives from Naval Operations Support Center, City of Chattanooga, Hamilton County, LIFE FORCE Event Medicine, Rock Creek, and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga announce this year’s total of $22,000 from the five-mile run or walk.

 

The families of Gunnery Sgt. Thomas Sullivan, Staff Sgt. David Wyatt, Sgt. Carson Holmquist, Lance Cpl. Squire K. Wells and Logistics Specialist 2nd Class Randall Smith have chosen to use the proceeds from this event to help fund the construction of a permanent memorial space at the Riverpark.

In an opinion piece, 5/18/18, Rev. Josh Woodrow referred to me and my fellow School Board member, Joe Smith, as racists and white supremacists because we spoke out against busing.
