The Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place participated, along with many volunteers, in the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Telethon on Sept. 15.  The event raised over $7,000 to support those in need as a result of damages from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

"The donations received by the American Red Cross are put to excellent use.  The Red Cross is proud to be good stewards of donor dollars, every day and for every response.  Ninety one cents of every dollar received for Hurricane Relief will be spent to help people affected by Hurricane Harvey or Hurricane Irma," officials said.

Also, last week's meeting was favorite team color day when Scott "Quake" McMahon from SportTalk Radio visited Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place.

"Sports fans and club members wore their favorite team colors and Quake engaged everyone in a lively discussion about high school and college football," officials said.

John Germ, most recent past International Rotary president, will be the speaker at the club's Wednesday meeting this week.  The club meets on Wednesdays at noon at Grace Works Church on Lee Highway.
