Notre Dame Wins Two At CCS

The Notre Dame basketball teams earned two district wins Friday night at CCS.  The Lady Irish held off CCS in the fourth quarter to post a 50-41 win and the Notre Dame boys beat CCS 58-45. 

In the girls game, Notre Dame had a big third quarter and jumped out to a 38-24 lead to begin the third quarter.   CCS made a late run but was not able to make up the deficit. 

Notre Dam was led by MacKenzie Johnson with 20 points including eight in the third quarter.  CCS was led by Kate Dirkse with 12 points.   Notre Dame was 9 of 22 from the free throw line and CCS did not shoot a free throw. 

In the boys game, Notre Dame's CJ Greer led all scorers with 23 points and Derwin Lewis had 16.  The Irish led 26-24 at the half but out scored the host Chargers 17-10 in the third quarter. 

CCS was led by Mondo Ellison with 14 and Michael Houge with 12.

East Ridge Soccer Wind 8-0
