Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga kicked off its annual Share-A-Night Campaign with three nights of calling supporters to renew their support.  The Share-A-Night Fund Phonathon asks individuals to sponsor the cost of a family at the Ronald McDonald House for one night or more. It costs $66 to host one family for one night and over $1,800 a night to cover the costs of the entire 28-bedroom facility.

Volunteers raised a record $101,000 in pledges during the annual event which was held at the Ronald McDonald House on Feb. 5, 6 and 12. The amount raised will pay for the entire 28-bedroom facility for about 56 days.

More than 60 volunteers worked the event including all active board members.  The support of the employees of Kohl’s Hixson added $1,500 to the Share-A-Night Fund with their Kohl’s Cares program by volunteering each night of the Phonathon.
