GigCity Press Has Grand Opening Tuesday

GigCity Press is celebrating the grand opening of their custom printed T-shirt and apparel business on Tuesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at their headquarters at 6901 Lee Hwy.

They will be giving away hundreds of T-shirts along with free pizza and a new 55” 4K LCD TV.

GigCity Press is a locally owned and operated division of WTSmedia.  They custom print shirts in 24 hours, and can provide same day or while you wait printing.  Customers may stop by and design their own T-shirts on a computer kiosk in the store.

Georgia Labor Market Sets Records In August

Georgia Labor Commissioner Mark Butler said  Thursday  that Georgia’s unemployment rate for August dipped below the national number for the first time  in 11 years . The rate, at 3.8 percent, is approaching the state’s record low of 3.4 percent, set in 2000. At 3.8 percent, it is down .1 percent from July. By comparison, the national rate is 3.9 percent. ... Judge Collier Denies New Trial For Ex Pilot Travel Centers President Hazelwood; Did Not File Within 14 Days Of Verdict

Federal Judge Curtis Collier has issued a 48-page order denying a new trial for former Pilot Travel Centers president Mark Hazelwood. He said initial Hazelwood attorney Rusty Hardin of Houston, Tex., did not follow federal rules of filing notice of an appeal within 14 days of the verdict. Fight Breaks Out During Friday Dismissal At Central High School; Joshua Maddox, 18, Is Arrested With 3 Juveniles

Earlier Friday afternoon, during dismissal at Central High School, a fight broke out, at which time the SRO assigned to the campus called for additional deputies to respond to the school to assist.  The fight involved several students.
