CFC Men Win NPSL Semifinal Over Georgia Revolution

Two late goals by Juan Hernandez and Joao Costa led the Chattanooga Football Club to a 2-0 NPSL semifinal win over Georgia Revolution Thursday night.  

Juan Hernandez scored in the 73rd minute to give CFC a 1-0 lead.  

Joao Costa scored in the 89th minute on an assist from Charlie Clarke.

Atlanta beat Asheville SC 2-0 in another semifinals. 

Chattanooga and Atlanta will play on Saturday night at Finley Stadium for the league championship.

Georgia Northwestern Golf beat Northeast Alabama In Tournament Prep

The Georgia Northwestern golf team made up a match with Northeast Alabama Community College  Friday  afternoon at the LaFayette Golf Course and cruised to a 38-shot victory, 598-636. 1 Killed In Crash On Highway 58 Saturday Afternoon

Highway 58 was shut down Saturday afternoon due to a head-on crash with a fatality near Linda's Produce. There were multiple emergency vehicles on the scene. Highway 58 was closed in both directions. More information will follow. (click for more)

Juvenile Shot On East 14th Street On Friday

A juvenile was shot Friday evening on East 14th Street. The Chattanooga Police Department responded at 6:45 p.m. to a person shot in the 2000 block of East 14th Street. Upon arrival, Officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
