The station at Jasper is just one of two depots still remaining on the old Sequatchie Valley Railroad. The Jasper depot now serves as City Hall. The train still runs sporadically from Bridgeport, Ala., past South Pittsburg to just south of Jasper. It once went on to Whitwell, Dunlap and Pikeville. See the 38th in the series on Chattanooga railroads by John Wilson.
